When I arrive at the hospital, a nurse may check my height and weight.
To check my weight, the nurse will ask me to take my shoes and coat off. Then I will stand on a scale.
I need to stand still until there is a number on the scale. This will only take a few seconds.
Once the scale shows a number, the nurse will ask me to step off the scale.
Next, the nurse will check my height.
The nurse will have me stand with my back against a wall and measure me with a height rod.
I need to be sure to stand still with my feet flat on the ground. This will also only take a few seconds.
Once the nurse is done, they will ask me to step away from the wall.
If I need a break at any time, I can let the nurse know by saying, “I need a break.”
