Video: Behavioral Presentation of COVID-19
In this video, Kelly Fisher, RN from Milestone HCQU West, provides information on how COVID-19 symptoms may appear for individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities who may have difficulty communicating verbally how they feel.
Many people with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism are immuno- compromised and at a greater risk of severe health consequences if they become infected with COVID-19. Often illness can present itself behaviorally. This presentation provides information about how COVID-19 may “look” in individuals who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally.
