The National Aviary (located in Pittsburgh, PA) has launched Sensory Friendly Mornings! Guests to these free programs can explore the National Aviary during a sensory-friendly experience designed to help visitors make the most of their visit. Guests will see and touch biofacts, and can borrow a Sensory Bag from KultureCity equipped with headphones, fidget toys, and other items. We also offer a sensory-friendly version of our immersive bird show African Adventure, where low volume and consistent lighting set the stage for a great experience.
Admission to Sensory Friendly Mornings is available free of charge by contacting info@aviary.org or 412-323-7235. Reservations are required to prevent crowding. Admission to the African Adventure bird show is first come-first serve due to limited capacity.
